The Black Dossier is not going to be on sale on Oct. 25.

It may be on sale *by* Christmas, but more likely it will be on the shelves sometime early next year.

Accept The Word Of One Who Knows.

Impossible Territories is now slated for an August 2007 release, with advance copies still on sale at San Diego next year.

If it's any consolation, the Dossier and volumes 3 and 4 are going to be More Delightful Than Words Can Express.

volume 3, which Moore has begun writing now, and volume 4, which will eventually follow volume 3.

Wow! I somehow assumed that Black Dossier was volume 3. Well, the more the better.

Moore's already dropped a few details about the next League project after the Dossier ("Volume 3", I guess) in one of his more recent interviews: Apparently, he's so fond of the 3-books-in-1 format of Lost Girls, that he's going to repeat it for the next League release. Each of the three books will be something like 70ish pages long, and each will be devoted to a specific adventure in its own different time period.

Busy. Writing three books at the same time--not recommended.

LOL.

Try designing a game, developing the game, running a game company, and being a librarian. :P

It sucks just as much.

I'm also doing the librarian thing, remember.

These past couple of weeks, at the beginning of the semester, have really not been fun.

what about the vinyl record?
Mr. Nevins, pray tell us when the vinyl record will be released. I understand it is Alan Moore's wish that the vinyl record will not be substituted by a cd and that the vinyl record should accompany the reading experience. I can only respect that, yet it saddens me that the current DC solicitation does not mention anything of the sort. Can you provide us with your insight on the matter? sincerely, Julian

As far as Moore knows, there will be a vinyl album in the Dossier.

Yes, but in which edition? The "October" HC version of it, or the Absolute one?

Moore wants it in both. But the final decision about that would appear to be DC's.

LOEG vol. 3
I spoke with Chris Staros this weekend at the Baltimore comic convention and he said that volume three, realistically, won't be released until early 2008.

Based on what Moore said, yeah, that sounds about right.

But, hey, we'll have Dossier goodness to tide us over until then.
